These used to be one of my favorite snacks when I was little. I completely forgot about them until my best friend craved them during her last pregnancy. I have made them several times and even added a new twist to them as well. These ranch crackers are great just by themselves as a snack or adding a few to a bowl of soup.
what you need:
1-2 bags (or box) of oyster crackers (I have used the large ones and the small ones, whichever you prefer is fine)
1 pack of dry ranch dressing mix
canola oil
dill weed
optional: cayenne pepper for a kick!
Preheat your oven to 275
whisk together about half a cup of oil, the dressing mix, a few shakes of dill weed, and some cayenne pepper if you like things a little spicy. in a separate bowl pour one bag of the crackers. cover and toss about half of the wet ingredients to coat the crackers. spread those out on a baking sheet. repeat with the rest of your crackers and wet ingredients. place in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown. enjoy!
