We are two southern first time moms raising the most adorable girls in the world. You could fight us on that, but it’s the truth. We are married to two equally adorable music loving men. We love food, shopping, crafting, photography, coffee and spoiling our babies.
For Matilda’s 2nd birthday she got this adorable kitchen! She was so excited to show it to Dylan and the two of them had so much fun playing chef!
Dylan’s top is from Baby Gap, bloomers are thrifted, and her purple sneakers were on clearance at Babies’R'us. Matilda’s top is from Target, pants are from Baby Gap (last year), headband is from Zuzii, and her moccasins are handmade by Freshly Picked.
We could not resist putting our girls in their similar style outfits. Who doesn’t love a good romper?! Dylan is going for a more classic baby style while Matilda is rocking it looking super trendy and put together. We both kind of wish we could wear one like Matilda’s! How comfy and breezy does it look?!
Dylan’s romper is from Baby Gap. She is wearing tan Saltwater Sandals that I got for $8 at Essex! Her little cream hair bow is from Forever 21. Matilda’s romper is from Lula In London. They currently have a HUGE sale going on and everything in their shop is 75% off. We ordered a few adorable items a few weeks ago, including this romper (which is only $14.50 right now!). Her shoes are from Target (she refuses to take them off once they are on too! its adorable!) and her headband was handmade by me! (I sell them locally at craft shows, and have an etsy shop, that I need to update.)
Summer time dresses for our little ladies!
Ever the bargain shopper I am proud to say that Dylan’s outfit cost a whopping $1.50! Her little dress is from Old Navy that we thrifted for $1.00. Her chambray bloomers are thrifted for $.50. And her adorable red Hoy Saltwater Sandals are borrowed from Matilda, since she outgrew them. This was the first time Dylan has worn that little dress and boy did she go from looking like a baby to a teenager in one little zip. I think the sweetheart neckline is what did me in, too cute! And maybe the fact that it is the first piece of clothing she has worn with a zipper…not buttons or snaps….a for real grown up zipper! Sheesh kid, stop growing up!
Matilda’s dress is from one of my favorite online vintage shops, Kidwonder, which is currently empty, but will hopefully reopen soon! Her moccasins are by Minnetonka, and her bow is from Crewcuts. The moccasins are by far one of my favorite pairs of shoes she has owned. They go with almost anything, and hold up really well. They are also pretty reasonably priced for comfy kids shoes!
This post will once again prove how amazing my mom is for saving so many of my old things (dresses, toys, etc). I have been looking forward to Easter so Dylan could wear one of my old Easter dresses. (she wore my first one last year of course). I find it so funny that my first few Easter dresses were blue given the fact that I have two older brothers….I would have thought my mom would be ready for some pink in her life. But I actually love blue on little girls so it works out perfectly. Here is a photo of my family in 1982 where you can see me wearing the dress. Nice glasses Mom and Dad!

Sweet D was not feeling great when we took these photos. But she sure looked cute! You will probably be seeing a lot of photos with this dress (or the cream or mustard that Dylan and Matilda both own) because they are our favorite. Dress is from American Apparel. This is an adorable outfit that I realized I hadn’t posted yet. Matilda wore this on Valentine’s Day – we went to lunch with some girlfriends and their babies, and then spent the afternoon coloring and playing at home while waiting for Daddy to get home to celebrate with us. Matilda’s dress is one of my old dresses that I unearthed in a box at my parents a while back. Her tights are from Baby Gap and her moccasins are Minnetonka.
Dylan is wearing a Baby Gap romper that I bought at a consignment sale for $1. Her sweater is from Target ($4). Shoes are Elephantito that I got on consignment for $15. The little yellow bow came from Target. And as always, she accessorizes her outfits with a book :)
This dress is one of my favorite consignment sale finds. Its an older Baby Gap dress, and I just love the way it poofs out. It is super cute on bare legs with sandals too, and I can’t wait for the weather to warm up enough to wear it that way.

We got used to the gorgeous, sunny, almost warm weather Nashville was having a few weeks ago and took advantage of it by constantly playing outside. Matilda discovered a new love for sidewalk chalk, and I took some bright and way too sunny photos of her. This is what she wore:

Dylan is wearing a simple gray knit dress from H&M, a mustard felt bow that was a gift from Rachel, and I fashioned her leg warmers from a pair of ladies socks I bought at Forever 21.
Matilda is wearing a corduroy polka dot dress from H&M, her onesie is made by Carter’s, her tights were hand-me-downs and her shoes are the most adorable pair of Toms I have ever seen. She needed them.
For this weeks baby style post we just had to show you are little darlings’ Halloween costumes and a few photos from our time at Franklin’s Pumpkinfest. We met up with our friends Kirsty and Stu and their little Toby. He and Matilda had adorable coordinating costumes as a cowboy and an indian. Dylan went for the vintage Strawberry Shortcake look. Matilda’s costume was handmade by her crafty mom. Dylan’s costume was handmade by my crafty mom. These little kiddos stole the show on Saturday as evidenced by the papparazzi photo below. They drew a crowd of onlookers just telling us how cute they were all dressed up. I mean what can we say? They were right! What did your little ones dress up as? Did you dress up as well?
